The Role – Captain on Cessna Citation Mustang

Astonjet is seeking a rated or non-rated Captain on the Cessna Citation Mustang (C510). The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft.

The ideal profile is a professional and reliable aviator, committed to high operational standards and safety. A strong interest in MEDEVAC operations, along with a high level of availability and flexibility, are essential for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Captain will operate charter and MEDEVAC flights requiring a high level of operational flexibility. He or she is responsible for the safe conduct of the flight, passenger comfort, and compliance with Astonjet’s operational and service standards throughout all phases of the operation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • conducting pre-flight and post-flight inspections;

  • performing comprehensive flight preparation, including documentation review, weather analysis, and performance, weight and balance calculations;

  • operating the aircraft in full compliance with applicable regulations and company procedures;

  • maintaining clear and effective communication with the flight crew, ground staff, and operational teams.

The Captain actively contributes to a safe, professional, and positive cockpit environment. He or she upholds the company’s service standards and participates in recurrent training and proficiency checks to maintain skills, qualifications, and regulatory compliance.

Job requirements

  • EASA ATPL License or CPL/IRME Licence

  • Type Rating: Cessna Citation Mustang C510 type rating is appreciated but not mandatory

  • Flight Hours: Minimum of 1000 total flight hours / 500h PIC / 100h IFR

  • Languages :

    • French proficiency (ICAO Level 6 mandatory)

    • English proficiency (ICAO Level 5 mandatory)
